Holmfirth, sitting in the heart of the breathtaking Holme Valley, this picture-postcard town is popular with walkers and wildlife lovers alike.
Holmfirth is the renowned location of the TV classic Last of the Summer Wine. It’s super vibrant, with a full yearly calendar of amazing events on in the town and lots to see, it even has it’s own Vineyard!. It’s jam packed with fantastic independent businesses, and is well worth a visit!
Brimming with fruit, vegetables and fresh produce, Barnsley Markets are the beating heart of the town centre. Alongside traditional greengrocers, butchers and fishmongers, find delicatessens selling fresh olives and sweet pastries, florists, quality clothing and footwear and essential services such as technology specialists.
Barnsley indoor market opened in 2018 following an extensive refurbishment programme.
On the ground floor you'll find fresh produce stalls. These include Barkers Butchers, Keith's Quality Meats, Morley Meats, fishmongers Joseph Cliffe and Tom Hall, and the fantastic Deli Butcher. You’ll also find stalls selling fresh fruit and vegetables, bakers and florists. It's also home to some famous faces, including Pats for Pants, Sailor Sid’s and Devine Footwear.
Upstairs there's lots more stalls, including fashion, household textiles, wool, hairdressers and familiar faces such as Dantina Foods.
