Yorkshire Dales & Brymor Ice-Cream with light lunch
A perfect summers day meandering through the breathtaking scenery of the Yorkshire Dales, with its distinctive landscape of open moorland, rounded valleys, crags and hills.
We make our way to Brymor, the home of real Yorkshire ice-cream, where the finest Real Dairy Ice Cream has been made for over 30 years. The secret lies in the high butter fat content milk from a local herd of cows that graze lazily on lush Yorkshire grass.
The story begins in 1984 when milk quotas were introduced, forcing Brian Moore (hence the name Brymor), to diversify the spare milk from his small Guernsey herd into making ice cream. After some trial and error, and lots and lots of tastings sessions, Brian perfected the recipe which hasn’t changed since. Included in the visit is a light Ploughman's lunch of Sliced Seeded Brown & White bread accompanied with a selection of cheese, Yorkshire Roast Ham, Local butchers Pork Pie served with a dressed side salad, chutney & pickled onions, followed by of course a single scoop of delicious ice cream that is made right on the farm, with a selection of up to 29 flavours including 3 sorbets and 2 Vegan ice creams – served in a waffle cone or tub.
