Blackpool is a Victorian seaside town and has been a popular resort for many years. The historic tower, had often been described at the "Eiffel Tower of the North" and offers views along the golden mile.....dare you walk the glass floor!! The Tower Ballroom with its ornate Wurlitzer, has welcomed dancers to the floor and has even played host Strictly Come Dancing. If you want to keep your feet firmly on the ground you can walk the golden mile, passing the Blue Flag Beach, the colourful amusement arcades and many souvenir shops. A visit to the Pleasure Beach is a must, it is the UK's most ride intesive theme park, with a ride for every age group (Pre-Booking is Essential).
The annual lights festival of the World-famous Illuminations need little introduction, with over 1,000,000 bulbs stretched over six miles. The Promenade is alight with multi-coloured lights, illuminated tram tours travel the length of the Promenade every evening, and the ever popular Lightpool Festival - no wonder it’s commonly known as the greatest free light show on Earth!
13th August 2022 - Blackpool on Airshow Day
Blackpool Air Show will have some of the world’s finest military and civilian aircraft performing over the iconic seafront.
To complement the aerial programme, there will be plenty to see and do on the ground with a wide range of stalls, attractions and food concessions in the Air Show Village on the Tower Festival Headland.
