Rode Hall Bluebell Walk
Rode Estate has been in the ownership of the Wilbraham family since 1669. It was originally bought from Randle Rode by his cousin Roger Wilbraham. The Wilbrahams were prominent landowners in Cheshire at that time and Rode was purchased for Randle, the younger son of Roger Wilbraham of Townsend, now part of Nantwich, for £2,400.
The gardens are a delight to behold throughout April and May when the bluebells (Scilla nutans) and wild flower garden are at their best. The Bluebell Walk is ideal for families; through magical woodland, carpeted with the ancient blue flowers.
Marvel at the carpet of Bluebells in the old wood and take the walk down to the Pool where you can spot herons nesting on Birthday Island. The courtyard kitchen will be open serving lunches, homemade cakes and drinks.
Cost includes the Bluebell Walk Only and not Entry to Rode Hall
Rode Hall Bluebell Walk is easily accessible to all and a pleasant 40 minute stroll that takes in some exquisite views.
